A model unit of The P Hotel and Spa suite will be available for preview by appointment. The opening will coincide with Blue White festivities scheduled at Penn State University for April 18 and 19, 2008.
The P Hotel and Spa, a condominium hotel projected to open Fall of 2009, will be the first concierge level hospitality destination in the Centre Region and the first environmentally superior condominium hotel in the country. Plans are for the project to be recognized by the US Green Building Council using the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building rating system at the GOLD level.
The P Hotel and Spa will feature one, two and three bedroom suites exquisitely designed and elegantly furnished with the discerning owner in mind. The design team is lead by Fernsler Architecture, LLC of State College and Spaces Design Center of State College.
"I'm really excited about this unveiling" said Susan Brown, lead designer and owner of Spaces Design Center. "The mock up unit will let prospective guests and owners get a feel for our interiors – the fabrics, the features, and the luxury. We have taken great attention to detail from the hardwood floors and furnishings to granite countertops and luxurious bedding."
The suites are designed in earthen colors with vibrant accents in bedding, artwork and accessories. Features will include wood floors, trim, and cabinets in a rich cherry finish and bathrooms wrapped in Italian marble. Kitchens will feature top of the line Miele appliances and granite countertops. The passage doors are designed with frosted glass to conceal the bedroom areas. Mattresses and bedding have been designed for comfort and elegance, specifically for The P.
"Susan and her team have exceeded our expectations." said Ben Heim, CEO of Tricore Group, LLC, lead developers on the project. "The colors and furnishings are amazing. Our guests won't want to leave."
Susan Brown started her career with Macy's Inc in NYC, graduating from their famed executive training program at the top of her class. She moved on to work on the in-house design and project management teams for Macy's Inc (NYC), Ann Taylor Inc (NYC) and Nordstrom Inc (Seattle and DC) on various projects types across the country. Susan consults to various architectural firms on interior design for new concepts, prototypes, and custom furnishings internationally in retail, restaurant and hospitality design. She has also been a key member of design team for Harrods of England. Susan returned to the Centre Region to be close to family and friends and to open Spaces Design Center.
